One Instance of SecureCRT

I'm currently running SecureCRT 5.5.2 as my default telnet client for Windows. I am curious if there is a way to only allow one instance of SecureCRT to run when a new telnet session is initiated? I would like to have any subsequent telnet session open in my original session and only allow one instance of SecureCRT.

Any help is much appreciated!

Hi Treidoh,

I will need a little more information to answer your question.

How are the telnet sessions being launched?

Also, are you looking for the telnet subsequent telnet sessions to replace the existing one in SecureCRT, or open in a tab?

SecureCRT has a global.ini file option that limits SecureCRT to a single instance. Editing this line labeled 'Single Instance' to reflect the value 00000001 will cause any subsequent attemps to launch SecureCRT to foreground the existing instance.

With this Single Instance option enabled, SecureCRT launched with a /t will cause all subsequent connections to be launched in the existing instance of SecureCRT in a tab.

Actually, I tried your suggestions above and that worked flawlessly. Any telnet sessions I launch from a hyperlink now open in the same SecureCRT instance.

Thanks, Kevin!
