I am using SecureCRT 8.1.4 and SecureFX 8.1.4 on my home Desktop running Windows 10 and my laptop running Ubuntu 18.04.
The question is, if I point both the Windows and Linux versions of SecureCRT to the same config folder (currently it's Windows-only), synced by a third-party file sync tool, will the Linux version break the config files in such a way that the Windows version will have problems reading/writing them? |

Hi vysh,
SecureCRT does not directly support the use of 3rd party applications to sync its configuration files and we cannot guarantee that there will not be negative interactions. That being said, SecureCRT's configuration files are the same format on both Windows and Linux. The same configuration files should work on both your devices. As a "best practice" you could create a backup of your configuration prior to attempting synchronization. To create a backup file use the Export Settings option found in the main Tools drop down menu.
