A passphrase is required but prompting is not allowed.

We have developed a console application in C# and using SecureFX to download files and it’s working fine without any issues but when we migrated our application on another machine that have SecureFX installed we started getting following error.

“A passphrase is required but prompting is not allowed.”

Following is the command taken from log file.

"C:\Program Files\VanDyke Software\securefx\sfxcl.exe" /noprompt /move /F C:\Users\testuser\AppData\Roaming\VanDyke\Config /log E:\ Test\sftpincoming.log sftp://usernamewd@host:22 source destination”

Error - A passphrase is required but prompting is not allowed.

Above command is working fine on our dev machine which has SecureFX but not working on another machine which has SecureFX

Please help to resolve this issue.

Hi saurabhsaxena,

I have also received your email, I am responding to both to help ensure you receive a response as quickly as possible.

Version 7.3.3 introduced the option to protect sensitive data with the use of a Passphrase. Have you configured SecureFX 7.3.5 to use a passphrase? You can confirm this by launching the GUI manually, are you prompted to enter a passphrase?

If your installation is configured to use a Passphrase you may be able to resolve the issue by using the /ConfigPassphrase option in your command.

/ConfigPassphrase passphrase
Specifies the configuration passphrase. This option allows SFXCL to run unattended when the configuration is passphrase protected.

Does using this option allow you to use SFXCL as expected?
