How to keep session from timing out

I have to installations of SecureCRT. One at the office on my PC and the other on my laptop at home, which I use to VPN into the work.

The installation at the office never times out, where as the installation on my laptop times out after a period of not being used. I've looked through the settings, even exporting settings from the office installation and importing it into the remote installation, but the remote still times out.

There must be a setting somewhere that I am missing that prevents the session from timing out.

I am on version 8.0.2 (x64 build 1118) on both installations.

Any suggestions?

Thank you

Daryl

My guess is that your VPN client/server software has a timeout setting that closes a connection if activity hasn't taken place for a specified time.

Here's an online FAQ that addresses your question:

Thanks Jake. I'll review the link.
