How to rename a file with vsftp get command
Is there a way to rename the local file name with a get?
Following command doesn't work: get remteFileName localFileName Same issue with put command put localFileName remteFileName |

What version of vsftp are you using? There are separate lrename and rename commands just for this purpose.

This is exactly what I was looking. I am using the latest version which I downloaded from your site recently.
Looks like the the reference page on your website is still referring to v7.0 and there is no lrename command for this version. |

Actually lrename was added in v6.6: Changes in the VanDyke ClientPack 6.6 (Beta 1) -- August 3, ---------------------------------------------------------------- New features:
But it's likely the "man pages" just did not get updated. I have added this thread to a feature request in our product enhancement database to update Unix/Linux man pages online with current info.
