Command Window Customization
Is it possible to modify the color scheme of the Command Window ?
I typically set my sessions to a black background, then pick a foreground color based on what server or network I'm in. Gives me a darker theme to work with at night. However, as soon as I fire up a command window, it's a brilliant white background which is somewhat blinding. ![]() Any way to change this in the current version ? ( v8.5.2 ) |

Hi nehumanuscrede,
SecureCRT does not currently support customizing the color of the Command Window. I have recorded your interest in our database of feature requests so that the product director can evaluate it for possible inclusion in a future release. If this functionality becomes available in a future version, we will be sure to let you know. If you would like to be notified directly please send an email to Support@VanDyke.com with "Feature Request Forum Post 13379" in the subject line. In the meantime, what theme are you using? The VS2013 Dark theme does change the background of the Command Window to black. To test this theme navigate to View > Themes. Does this help get you closer to your desired appearance?

The ability to specify the foreground and background colors for the Command window has been added to a pre-beta version of SecureCRT. If you would like to try it, please email me at Maureen.Jett@vandyke.com.
