Foreground/Background colors in RTF Copy/Paste

Is there any way to adjust SecureCRT's behavior regarding Foreground/Background colors when using the "Copy to clipboard as RTF and plain text" feature?

Basically, I run all my SecureCRT sessions as white text on a black background (with ansi color enabled). When I copy to RTF, and paste into any RTF application (email client, etc...) it doesn't bring across the foreground/background colors, resulting in black text on a white background. Which by itself is fine, and I can see why it might be desirable in many cases, when mixed with intentionally ANSI colored text, is not ideal, and makes for some unreadable results. And it's generally not fixable in the target application.

Alternatively, any tool that could take a log with ANSI sequences in it and convert it to RTF would solve the same problem from a different direction, and I must imagine such a thing exists, but I've been unable to find one.

I'm mostly looking for ideas, anything that works will work. The use case is basically the copy and paste of heavily colored linux console logs into emails, while entirely preserving their ANSI coloring.

Sorry, presently there is not.

I have added this thread to a feature request in our product enhancement database to copy background color when using 'Copy to clipboard as RTF and plain text'. Should a future release of SecureCRT include this feature, notification will be posted here.

If you prefer direct email notification, send an email to support@vandyke.com and include "Feature Request - Forum Thread #13363" in the subject line or use this form from the support page of our website.
