Max Rows - 256?

I'm trying to view some log entries that are longer than 256 characters, however I can't expand the SecureCRT window wide enough to see everything on one line. Once you expand past 256 columns, SecureCRT just shows white space while no longer incrementing the column counter.

Is it possible to expand the SecureCRT window to where it recognizes more than 256 columns, or is this just the result of some other limitation?

Hello Casey,

What version of SecureCRT are you using?

You can increase the maximum columns in the Terminal / Appearance category of SecureCRT's Global Options.

Another factor towards what is displayed is the On resize configuration in the Terminal / Emulation category of Session Options.

Which of the three available options is configured?

If I understand your goal correctly, you may find Retain size and font works best in this scenario.

I'm running 7.2.0.

Going into Global Options / Emulation / Appearance fixed my issue. I set the max columns to 999, restarted secureCRT, and now I can expand the window as wide as needed.

Thanks!

Hi CB,

Thanks for posting the update.

Keep in mind you probably want to keep that value as close to the longest possible line you might want to see displayed without wrapping. Increasing the value may use more resources if the display is full width.
