Connecting to USB Serial.

Currently (In 7.3) when I create a serial connection I have to specify which serial port to use.
When using the physical ports on the PC that is not a problem but since barely any modern pc:s contain a physical port you have to specify the port of the usb-port-serial-cable.
In windows this becomes a bit annoying since the portnumber changes if you plug the cable to a different usb-port.
Is there anyway to change this behaviour to atleast allow you to get a list (like in teraterm) of available ports?

If you are *not* writing us from the email address associated with your VanDyke Software download account, please provide:

• The email address associated with the download account
  
• Installer desired (integrated or non-integrated)
  
• If Windows, also indicate whether you need a 32-bit or 64-bit installer

On a side note.... not all USB->Serial adapters change COM ports numbers in Windows.

Check out the StarTech adapters. I use the dual port ICUSB2322F (https://www.startech.com/Cards-Adapt...ble~ICUSB2322F) as well as their single port version.

The COM port numbers stay static and it has the FTDI chipset (not the terrible Prolific chipset in cheaper adapters).
