SecureCRT 7.1 crashes on startup w/Fedora 18 when run by non-root user
When I attempt to launch SecureCRT 7.1 beta 2 on Fedora 18 under my normal UID, I get the following fatal error:
Cannot mix incompatible Qt library (version 0x40804) with this library (version 0x40803) [1] 3935 abort (core dumped) /usr/local/bin/SecureCRT However, if I run it via sudo, it works without issue. 7.0.3 runs just fine. [UPDATE] Perhaps it's because I have the Qt dev tools installed? In the strace dump I ran I did notice a couple queries to ~/.config/Trolltech.conf Last edited by wwinfrey; 03-14-2013 at 12:05 PM. Hello wwinfrey,
Fedora 18 is not an officially supported operating system. By v7.0.3 runs just fine, do you mean when using the non-root user account? Were you able to locate the core dump file? If so, would you send an e-mail to support@vandyke.com using (or providing) the e-mail address associated with your download account? I will then provide instructions for you to get the core dump to us. Please reference "Attn Brenda - Forum Thread #10940" in the subject.

I realize it's not supported. I'm posting this as a courtesy to you guys. Yes, when I say 7.0.3 runs fine I mean it runs fine as a non-root user. I cannot find the core dump as of yet but if I do I will send it to you.

Hello wwinfrey,
I understand and we appreciate that. ![]() If found, please do not attach the core dump to e-mail (unless relatively small), but instead let me know the username (e-mail address) associated with your VanDyke Software download account.
