Number of rows with tab toolbar
Hi,
I work as a networking consultant, and as such I use SecureCRT all day to connect to various networking devices. I've noticed that whenever I execute commands that outputs more lines than can fit on one screen, the first line of the output is missing - it is scrolled off the screen. A workaround is to hide the tab toolbar - when hiding the toolbar I've noticed that the number of columns and rows is unchanged. Showing the tab toolbar obviously reduces the available number of rows by at least one (depending on the user's font size), but SecureCRT does not seem to take this into account, and keeps the original number of rows and thereby results in text being scrolled off screen. Am I missing something here? Is it meant to behave like this, or is there a magic option, I've missed somewhere? ![]() Cheers, Mark |

Hi Markh,
I am not sure if you are missing something, but I think I need additional information to completely understand the issue you are reporting. What version of SecureCRT are you using and on what platform? You can change the rows/columns displayed and the scrollback buffer value, so I assume the emphasis is not so much that the command goes into the buffer as it is that you get different results whether or not the tab toolbar is enabled. Could you attach screenshots showing the behavior you are describing? If the screenshots display sensitive information, feel free to send them to support@vandyke.com and reference "Attn Brenda - Forum Thread #10598" in the subject line.
