Hello gcleric,

I have added this thread to the feature requests in our development database for SecureCRT for both Mac OS X and Linux platforms. I have also noted your willingness to beta test both versions.

If you prefer direct e-mail notification, contact support@vandyke.com and include "Feature Request - Forum Thread #3526" in the subject line.

Count me in for Linux version.

SecureCRT is one of the main reasons I can't do serious work from desktop Linux. All other terminal clients suck.

Sounds good - we will post a follow up message here when the installer is available. Let us know if you'd like to receive e-mail notification as well.

My top vote would be for session/config file parity between the Windows and Mac versions. I store my session files in Dropbox for backup and to ensure continuity between my desktop/laptop. If I could use the same config on both that would be ideal. The same level of z-modem support and the ability to customize keyboard commands is also very important.

Three products are tying me to Windows right now, UltraEdit and SecureCRT/SecureFX, so the sooner the beta is available, the better (for me).

Please add me to beta testers

Please add my name to the beta testers list.

We use Macs at work, and I have them at home -- I use SSH all the time. At the moment, I'm stuck with iTerm. So I would be able to help test the program on a regular basis.

Hi forrie,

Thanks for your continued interest in SecureCRT for MacOS X. We added you to the list of potential beta testers on the 26th of October in 2009. I also added this request to the same feature request that we created for you in the past, so the SecureCRT product director has been made aware again of your desire to beta test SecureCRT for MacOS X.

OS X Features and SecureFX

Is there a plan to offer an app that offers the integration of both SecureCRT and SecureFX?

Wish list:
*AppleScript Support - (Lots of potential for Automator use with SecureCRT/FX)
*64 bit support
*Grand Central Dispatch Use
*Core Animation - New Tabs, Pulling a Tab out of main window, etc
*Active Dock Icon - Show Active State, Disconnected, Waiting - just like in tabs
*Bonjour - How many engineers have a list of their devices and are asked for that list, make it accessible to others if user allows.
*command line usage
*use of cocoaTouch - Make an iPhone OS version = iPhone, iPod Touch, iPad version
*Instant Message Framework - allow usage of app across iChat, great for engineers looking for next level support from senior engineers
*Search Kit Framework - ability to search back through buffer with great speed

Hi richweaver,

Thanks for your interest in SecureCRT and SecureFX being released for all things Apple. I have created four feature requests on your behalf in our development database to release SecureCRT and SecureFX for the iPhone platforms, a truly integrated client shell/file transfer product and to implement your wish list in the SecureCRT release.

Should any of these products be released, we will post to this thread. A specific timeframe or plan for development of a truly integrated product has not yet been determined. If you would like to be notified directly, please complete and submit the form at the following location for each individual request:
Submit Feature Request

Hello VanDyke folks,
I would really appreciate a Mac OS X version of SecureCRT :-)

Could you please put me on the beta tester list?!

regards
Chris
