Question Change Audio Bell (or tie a script to a visual bell)

Is there any way to change the sound used by SecureCRT? I don't want to have to set the Windows Default Beep sound; its used for such mundane events and is fairly annoying.

If there isn't a way to change the sound, is it possible to write a script that will intercept a visual bell event and play a sound or display an alert box?

Hello cfg,

At this time you cannot specify custom sounds, and I am not aware of any scripting mechanism that would allow you to intercept a visual bell. However I've added your forum post to our request database so that we know you would like to be able to do so. If we add this ability in a future release we will post a follow up message to this forum thread. If added and you would like e-mail notification in addition please let us know.

Thanks Mike. Being able to intercept a bell and perform your own action would be great, but not having the audio bell tied to a Windows event sound is much more important to me.

I understand - the ability to specify a specific audio file (perhaps .wav) would be a nice addition!
