'New Window' for Unity QuickList

The SecureCRT.desktop file that gets install in Ubuntu might benefit from a quick list item to easily launch a new window.

Accomplishing this is really just adding 4 lines to the .desktop file that you ship with.

Code:
Actions=Window;

[Desktop Action Window]
Name=New Window
Exec=SecureCRT
OnlyShowIn=Unity;
Here's a quick 60 second demonstration of what this does in Unity at least.

Being a Linux user, I compulsively reinstall my desktop every so often and have a giant list of things to do before my workstation is 'ready'. This has been one of them for some time, and it'd be nice to see this by default.

Hi SanjanP,

Thanks for the suggestion. I have created a feature request in our SecureCRT enhancement database to add this for SecureCRT on Ubuntu with Unity. Should we make the change, we will post to this thread.

If you would like to be notified directly, please complete and submit the form at the following location:

Hi SanjayP,

We have a pre-release build of SecureCRT that has the new functionality you requested. If you would like to test it, please send an email to support@vandyke.com with a subject of Attn: Todd - Forum thread #11445.

Please let me know what email address you used for your download account in the body of your email message.
