Ctrl-C is broken

When I ssh to a device in this case a linux box
I ping a host and it is replying
Ctrl-c used to stop the ping but it no longer has any effect
What is the default key mapping for Ctrl-C?
I have tried various things currently it is set to Telnnet Function TN_BREAK.

What version of SecureCRT are you using?

What exact device are you ssh'ing to?

Is this issue occurring on every device you ssh to, or just this single device?

What exactly do you see when you press [Ctrl + C]?

Same problem all devices
When I hit Ctrl-c nothing happens.
It is as if I have not hit any key.
What is the default action for Ctrl-C?

Thanks for the response slouw,

The default key mapping for Ctrl+C in SecureCRT is to literally send a Ctrl+C character (ASCII 3 decimal, AKA "ETX")

However, SecureCRT has an option that will squash any attempt to send a Ctrl+C -- treating instead a Ctrl+C keyboard combination as a standard "CUA Windows" 'Copy' command (after all, how do you normally copy text with the keyboard?). The option, Use Windows copy and paste hotkeys, is found in the Session Options / Terminal / Emulation / Mapped Keys category.

Is this item enabled for your sessions?

If so, as above, Ctrl+C will be treated as a local copy operation instead of sending the literal Ctrl+C character to the remote host.

If the above Use Windows copy and paste hotkeys option is not enabled in your sessions, what is the result of using Ctrl+Shift+6 (AKA Ctrl+^, AKA ^^) to escape from a ping operation?

SecureCRT's default action for Ctrl-VK_C, is to send ASCII 3, which is represented as "\003" as a send string value, like so:
