Request: Multiple rows for button bars

I'd really love to see button bars auto expand to multiple rows so that all buttons, of a button bar, are displayed. Just simply being able to drag the button bar up, to show more vertical rows, would be very helpful.

Right now, when there are more buttons than 1 row will display, you loose some edit functionality for the buttons that are off-screen and only appear from the >> dropdown menu.

Thank You.

Hi Reno,

I have added this thread to a feature request in our product enhancement database for the ability to display multiple rows of buttons and button bars. Should a future release of SecureCRT include this feature, notification will be posted here.

If you prefer direct email notification, send an email to support@vandyke.com and include "Feature Request - Forum Thread #13508" in the subject line or use this form from the support page of our website.

Also coming in v8.6:
Changes in SecureCRT 8.6 (Pre-Beta) -- August 10, 2018
------------------------------------------------------
New features:

  • Windows: Added preliminary support for a Command Manager, which allows commands to be saved and organized within folders. Commands that can be saved include: sending strings, executing menu functions, running scripts, and running local applications.

And then it got several enhancements:
  • Added the ability to filter the list of commands in the Command Manager by name.
  • Allow buttons and commands to be copied between the Button Bar and the Command Manager.
  • Windows: Button Bars, including the buttons on the button bar, can now be copied to the Command Manager.
  • Added the ability to drag and drop commands and folders in the Command Manager.
