Session overview & Quick Jump to session

dear support,

i am using securecrt now for a long long time, and what i am still missing: a hotkey/option to get a quick overview of all open sesisons and a quick-jump when typing the first letters of a session with auto-complete.
like the browser-url-bar is working.

i am working daily with a lot of parallel sessions, and its really hard to find the correct server at all these tabs...
here you can see how it looks like:

so i hope there is a solution i don´t know or that you bring something in near future to solve that problem!

thank you,
michael

Hello michab,

I have added this thread to a feature request in our product enhancement database for the ability for auto complete to locate one tab when several are connected (session overview). Should a future release of SecureCRT include this feature, notification will be posted here.

If you prefer direct e-mail notification, contact support@vandyke.com and include "Feature Request - Forum Thread #10869" in the subject line.

Hi michab,

You are welcome.

Please understand with respect to feature requests:
Feature requests are typically prioritized based on a number of factors including, but not limited to, the number of requests and the amount of implementation work required.

We have received requests for this feature, but it has not yet become a top priority for implementation.

i understand, does vandyke has a uservoice system or anything else that helps to speed u features and animate people to give their voice/voting to an idea ?
if not - only people who are reading this forum are able to vote....
in this case, i please you to think about a public system like uservoice, where you really get an idea of what customer really want and to get a feeling for things, that are important for your customers....

regards,
micha

Hello micha,

Allow me to clarify, we do not necessarily implement feature requests based on popular vote either ...

We do not have uservoice.

We do have a couple mechanisms, besides the forums, for requesting new features.
  • Forms available via our website here (feedback section)

  • Feature requests also can be submitted via e-mail to support@vandyke.com
I have added this thread to a feature request in our product enhancement database to add uservoice(-like) system for managing customer feedback / feature requests. Should such a system be implemented in the future, notification will be posted here.

If you prefer direct e-mail notification, contact support@vandyke.com and include "Feature Request - Forum Thread #10869" in the subject line.

Hi micha,

You might want to check this forum post where dluther contributed a solution to the problem you were trying to solve.
