Multiple tabs in one SecureCRT window
Sorry to jump in like this but I have the same problem except I don't use quick connect or connect. I open most sessions via URL's and SSH sessions open in separate windows. I would like them all to open in the same window. I can't find where to configure this.
Thanks! |

Hi Chimera101,
I have moved this post to its own thread since it is a different solution. The goal may be similar, but accomplishing it is totally different. Quote:
What version of SecureCRT are you using? What protocols are you using for your sessions? |

Hi,
Yes, I'm using HTML based hyperlinks to open my sessions. I'm using 7.0.3. I'm using SSH. I hope this helps. -David |

Hi chimera101,
You should be able to accomplish your goal by enabling the following option in the Global.ini file: From:D:"Single Instance"=00000000To:D:"Single Instance"=00000001 To edit the Global.ini file:Does this help to accomplish your goal? Last edited by rtb; 03-27-2013 at 03:49 PM. |

Modifying global.ini does not work
Hi,
Whenever I try to open sessions via URLs the sessions open in separate windows. I've tried changing the Global.ini file from D:"Single Instance"=00000000 to D:"Single Instance"=00000001 but it doesn't seem to work. I'm running version 8.7.0 OS: MacOS Cataline 10.15.6 |

Sorry, we presently know of no workaround to open URLs in tabs on macOS.
I have added your contact information to a feature request in our product enhancement database for the ability to launch a tab by clicking on a URL. Should a future release of SecureCRT include this feature, we will post here to let you know. If you prefer direct contact, please send us an email to support@vandyke.com with, "***Attn: Feature Request, Forum Thread#***10964 as the subject.

Hi jradnor93,
My manager and I spoke about this behavior this morning and he confirmed that he was able to open Telnet URL links in tabs in SecureCRT with a default installation. We have, however, had other customer's report the same behavior as you, which is why I added the feature request. I would like to gather some additional information about SecureCRT that is specific to your environment. Can you please run the following command in your local terminal and provide me with the output? Code:
ps -eaf | grep SecureCRT
