Welcome to the beta forum!

Welcome to the SecureCRT 5.1 and SecureFX 3.1 beta forum!

The purpose of this forum is to report beta bugs, to see what other testers are noticing, and to express your opinions. It will also allow us to keep you up to date on what's happening with the betas.

Although the new features have been decided for 5.1 and 3.1, you can still post feature requests and they will be considered for future versions of SecureCRT and SecureFX.

Please feel free to start new threads and to post polls. I'm looking forward to some good discussion about the betas. Thanks for joining us!

Maureen

I can't see this forum, unless I look at "New Posts" and move backward from the tree.

Hi Maureen,

I was wondering what is the status of implementing the proposed tab navigation enhancement via the CTRL-TAB key combination, as talked about in this thread from nearly a year ago. Thanks for any information.

Thanks for following up on this. Adding a global option to change the Ctrl+Tab behavior to switch between the two most recently used sessions is being considered for SecureCRT 5.2. Having a pop-up session chooser would be a lot more work and currently, is not on the roadmap. Would you find the option helpful? How important is the pop-up session chooser to you?

Hi Maureen,

The pop-up session would definitely be a nice GUI feature, of course, but I do understand that it's a lot of work. I think for starters, just being able to use CTRL-TAB to navigate through the two most recently used sessions would be great! You could always work on the pop-up session for SecureCRT 5.3!

It's not restricted to the two MRU sessions, right?
If I press Ctrl-Tab twice, I expect to end up in the second MRU session.

Thanks for the reply. I'll let you know when the Ctrl+Tab option is ready for testing.

That's correct. You would be able to press Ctrl+Tab multiple times to go to other sessions. The order would be determined by how recently used the session was.

Hi Maureen,

Would you happen to have a timetable of when the Ctrl-Tab option for navigating between the tab windows in SCRT 5.0 is ready? I would really like to use the MDI functionality, and the Ctrl-Tab navigation would be most helpful. Thanks!

Thanks for following up on this. We hope to implement this in SecureCRT 5.2, which is currently in pre-beta testing. I'll post a note as soon as we have something ready for testing.
