Question How to enable append command over FTPS protocol

Hello,

I've a server wih Vandyke SW, we're connecting by FTPs protocol. When we're putting a file if we overwirte it there is not problem but if we try to append into it following error happens: "Invalid command"

Currently supported commands (as per server report) are:

214-Commands supported:

USER PASS QUIT AUTH PBSZ PROT CCC PASV
EPSV PORT EPRT TYPE PWD XPWD CWD XCWD
CDUP XCUP DELE RMD XRMD MKD XMKD RNFR
RNTO SYST NOOP HELP STRU MODE SIZE REST
FEAT OPTS LANG MLST MLSD LIST NLST RETR
STOR ABOR
214 End

Could somebody know how I've to configure FTPS to enable file appends (APPEND/APPE command)?

Best regards and thanks a lot

Reme

Hi Reme,

Thanks for the question. VShell doesn't currently support the APPE command. I have created a feature request in our VShell enhancement database to add this capability. Should a future release of VShell support the APPE command, we will post to this forum thread.

Hi Reme,

A pre-release build of VShell now supports APPE. If you would like to test it, please send a message to support@vandyke.com with a subject of Attn: Todd - Forum thread 10529.
