Hrm - what about split pane?

So here I sit, with 3 tabs open in my sCRT 5.1.0 build 248 and one of the tabs is IRC, with 4 channels open.

It occurs to me that there is great benefit to having multiple windows within the same window, where output can be monitored from all of them, in a single tab/window.

Is this something that has been thought of before, or that other people might find useful? Or am I making myself clear, even? Or do people think this would be a step backwards? Of course I already do somethig similar to this via "screen" but just musing...

It sounds like you might be asking for the ability to tile channels (or "sessions" / connections) within a single window so that you can monitor more than one connection within a single window.

Is this correct?

Tiling sessions is also the feature I'm looking for since I often need to monitor different machines in the same time, so I support monitor35 on this request! It would even be better if we could save the layout of the tiled sessions.
