VCP Syntax

hi -

Can someone tell me what is wrong here

"C:\Program Files\VanDyke Software\VShell\vcp.exe" -r --pw <pw> C:\...folderpath...\ExtractedFiles\20160205_093903 username@<hostname>#22:/user/bms\MSPS

I keep getting the message below

The target is not a directory (and multiple source files where specified.)

Thanks,
Shane

Hi Shane,

Can you add logging to your command-line and send the resulting log to support@vandyke.com as an attachment to email? (Please reference "Attn Brenda - Forum Thread #12492" in the subject line.)

That would mean the new command-line is:

"C:\Program Files\VanDyke Software\VShell\vcp.exe" --log "C:\Path_to_logfile.txt" -r --pw <pw> C:\...folderpath...\ExtractedFiles\20160205_093903 username@<hostname>#22:/user/bms\MSPS

Do you know what the remote sftp server is?

At first glance, the syntax for the remote destination seems to be a mix of Linux and Windows path styles (/user/bms\MSPS), unless that was just a typo when composing your post.

Hi Brenda,

I have sent the file. Yes, I do know what the remote server is and yes, it is a Linux server.

Let me know what you think.
Thanks,
Shane
