SSH2 Window Sizes

I am currently working with the Pittsburgh Supercomputing Center on modifying OpenSSH to allow faster transfers of high BDP links by modifiying the way the SSH2 window size is chosen. We have obtained speeds over 40MB/s on coast to coast links and saw mention of previous speed problems mentioned on your board. Our main interest is getting these changes to the implementation of the window mechanism into as many clients and servers as possible. If your group would be interested in our work, it can be obtained at

http://www.psc.edu/networking/hpn-ssh/

If you have any questions we would be happy to answer them.

When this thread started on the openssh-dev mailing list, we started discussing internally if we could add support for this. At this point, we plan to add support - however, we don't have a time frame implementation yet.
