Vshell does not start SFTP service on startup
I have been running VShell under windows 10 with no problems until recently. Since a few weeks, when the machine reboots VShell starts as a service but it does not start the SFTP service automatically, I can successfully start it from the GUI.

Hi Bob,
What version of VShell is installed? Is VShell running as a user other than System? If you open Services and find VanDyke Software VShell SSH2/SFTP, then right-click it and choose Properties, what is shown for Startup type?

Hi Bob,
Please note that official support for Windows 10 began with VShell 4.1.x. Have you checked event logs? What about VShell logs (before you manually start the service)? Could you send one of the VShell logs to support@vandyke.com and reference "Attn Brenda - Forum Thread #13067" in the subject line?
