How to determine the type of license
My company purchased a license, but I don't know whether it is a 1 year or a 3 year license.
Is there a way to determine this? |

Hi WesR,
If you're looking at the license data block from the license letter, a 3-year license is obvious because the license data specifically includes a maintenance expiration date. In contrast, 1-year license data does not include a maintenance expiration date because eligibility for newer versions will expire 1 year from the issue date by default. If you've already registered the license to SecureCRT, you can also take a look at the About dialog window (Help > About SecureCRT), and the final two lines in that window should look something like this: Issue Date: XX-XX-XXXXHere's an example of what that might look like: ...which should help give you some idea as to whether the license is a 1-year or 3-year license. Does this information help you determine the info that you were seeking?

Thanks.
I had not installed it and was wondering if it would have gotten me to the current release. It was an older license that if it had been a three year license it would have been upgradable, but I pushed back and now they are purchasing a new current license, so this is no longer an issue. Wes |
