Change Secure Shell Password


I receive the message shown in the title upon logging into the software.

I do not recall ever setting a password nor knowing what it might be to reset it and continue the use of the software.

Any thoughts on how to remedy this would be awesome!

Hi SuperSix4,

This refers to the password associated with your account on the remote system.

Are you saying you do not provide a password when you access that remote system?

Do you use some other form of authentication?

Most admins of remote systems are going to have a policy that does require users to change their password at some frequency. That's what it is telling you. If this server supports the Password Change Request subsystem, you can do that through SecureCRT but you will need to know your current password to do so.

I'm looking for confirmation you know that before I post the steps. We don't want you to end up locked out of the remote system.
