Question vcp.exe says: "This evaluation period has expired."

We have a Windows Server 2003 R2 system with licensed VShell 3.0 running on it.

Clicking on "About" in the GUI displays the license that is applied.

However, from the Command Prompt, when we try to run vcp.exe, it complains:

================================
This evaluation period has expired. For information on purchasing
a license, see ORDER.TXT or visit the VanDyke Software home page at
www.vandyke.com .

(usage and options displayed here)

VCP version 5.5.0 (x64 build 318 Unicode).
SSH2Core version 4.3.0.318.
================================

Shouldn't this work? VCP.exe came with VShell, and it is licensed.

Thanks for any help.

JLS

Hi Ludwigrhysy,

Thanks for the question. It turns out that this is a known issue in VShell 3.0.

I helped JLS via email, and forgot to post the results.

Hi khonpar,

I would like to investigate this behavior with you via email, as some of the information that I will need from you is not suitable for our public forums.

Please send an email to support@vandyke.com, with ***ATTN: Brittney, Forum Thread #11166*** as the subject, including your VShell serial number and the version of VShell that you are running.
