automatic SSH access
Hi everyone,
We use SecureCRT to automatically backup our running-config. We changed the connection settings from telnet to SSH. Now it's prompting me for sign-in credentials. How can I configure that this is signing in automatically. The logon scripts is configured correctly for as far as I know. The prompt I'm still getting is: Enter Secure Shell password. This needs to be automatically. Is there someone who knows how I can configure this? I hope I was clear is my question Regards, Bjorn |

Hi Bjorn,
Quote:
For SSH, there are two ways (at least) to save the credentials in the session. If you enable the Save username and Save password checkboxes on those respective prompts/dialogs, then the information gets saved in the Connection / SSH2 category of Session Options. If you don't save it there, then you would use the Expect/Send sequences in Logon Actions. However, you don't want to configure it in both places because it will create a conflict! ![]()
