Update removed saved sessions

After an update all my sessions except for a few are gone. However if I go to the directory all the sessions are still in the folder. The global options directory is still valid so how do I get all those sessions stored back into the program?

Your references are pretty generic. What is "the directory"?

In SecureCRT, in the General / Configuration Paths category of Global Options, what is the listed path? I don't need to know the specifics but what is key to know is that it should always point to the *parent* of the Sessions subfolder that is a part of SecureCRT's config. By default, that parent folder is usually named Config, but it can be any name.

See below graphics.

In the sessions manager of the UI, 1 of 6 of the main folders is missing completely. The other 5 folders are missing all of the saved sessions I had. Had to be hundreds of them.

Hi riehmc,

Updating (or even uninstalling) our products does not remove the config. If you can remember the name of one of those missing sessions, then search your system (and any drives you might have used as the config path) for SessionName.ini because there is an INI file that corresponds to every saved session.

Like I said, all the sessions are still in the config folder (\Documents\VanDyke\Config\Sessions).

The UI is mapped to the same folder because as you said the update doesn't change anything.

Could it be something to do with the login passphrase?

Hi riehmc,

The config path should not end with Sessions. It should end with Config.

This information was given in my first reply and is shown in the posted graphic.

I understand where the directory is, but after looking for the 4th time the problem finally presented itself. Our company recently adopted OneDrive and it moved my config file to a shared drive. The update created a new folder on the local. This wasn't obvious since the new "Documents" folder isn't visible in explorer unless you navigate to the user directory.

Hi riehmc,

I understand the frustration. I just went through that myself!

So it's all sorted now?
