feature request : cluster shell

Hello,
this feature is lightly linked with the split screen request.

I would like to be able to 'group/link' session together so everything I enter in one will be enter the same in the other too.
(the split screen would help to validate the result visually).

I work in a highly clustered environment where I have sometime the same stuff to do on 20 or more identical servers. With this option I would be able to do it in parallel.

I used to work with cluster-ssh from sun
http://docs.sun.com/app/docs/doc/820...=en&n=1&a=view
with cssh each ssh is a window with its own keyboard entry but there is a 'global' entry window too, when you enter something in the global entry window every shell received it, but you can enter command in each particular shell by using it's own window.

Putty has the same option with putty-cs (putty command center)

Thanks.

Hello CyrilMtl,

Thanks for posting your request. I see your split screen request as well.

SecureCRT currently offers a Chat Window which can send commands to all open tabs in a window. It sounds like the difference you're looking for might be to have a separate global chat window that sends commands to all windows, and all tabs in all windows. Is this correct?

Thank you for pointing me to the chat window, didn't know that SecureCrt has something like that.

The very base of what I am looking for is the chat window with the 'send to all tab' enabled, but it is very basic, that why I think you should add a better interface like the cssh and putty-command_sender:
- I need to be able to easily see the result of the command in each window/tab to validate it before entering other commands, a 'tiling' or 'cascading' view for example will provide that. Switching manually around all tab to check the result is very time consuming.
- The 'send to all tab' is very basic, you should look at putty-command-send, in it you can choose to which window/putty you want to send your command and simply enable or disable some window.
(putty command sender gui : http://putty.org.ru/img/12-puttycs.png )

Thanks.
