Request: Command Manager Button 'Notes'

I really love the new command manager. My team and I deal with several hundred VM's. A few of us have shared are command manager buttons with each other (very easy to copy and paste button folders between all of us).

The problem is, if I take a large set of buttons from someone else, I often don't know what the purpose of the button is, or in which specific VM it should be used.

Would it be possible to add 1 'text area' data field to the command manager button data? I mean a single text area field for notes on what the buttons do or where/how to use them. If a text area could be added to the buttons, maybe you could add a mouse over hover to show the stored text area data. Or maybe you could just add a new right-click context menu section to display the saved notes for the button.

Thank you - hopefully that makes sense.

Hi Reno,

I am glad to hear that you are a fan of the new Command Manager!

I have submitted a feature request on your behalf to add the ability to provide a description (with mouse over) for buttons saved in the Command Manager.

We will be sure to post here if this functionality is implemented. If you would prefer direct notification, please send an email to support@vandyke.com, with **ATTN: Feature Request, Forum Thread #13971** in the subject field.

Thank you, I appreciate it.

Yes, I'm very much a fan of the new Command Manger. It has many benefits over the button bars. Nice job.
