automate multiple sessions from list of nodes?
I get a (often larger than the example) list of nodes in text form from emails or ticketing systems, formatted as such:
host.a.domain host.b.domain host.c.domain host.d.domain host.e.domain host.f.domain which I would then run the same commands on, for example modifying an access-list that is identical among the list of nodes. Using the command window and "send same keys immediately to all sessions" works great, but I'm unsure of how to automate the opening of sessions to each of the nodes in the list. If I could copy/paste the list, or a portion of the list to open X number of shells each to an element that is copied, that would be awesome. Has anyone approached this task or have thoughts? |

Hi soezticle.
We have a new script available on the following web page that will do what you are asking for: - https://forums.vandyke.com/showpost....86&postcount=1 Does this look like it will help you? I have also created an entry for you in our feature request database. We can post something here should a version of SecureCRT become available with the ability to specify multiple hostnames in a single Quick Connect dialog. You might also consider using the script on the following web page to create a new folder with sessions for each of the hosts in your list: - https://forums.vandyke.com/showpost....89&postcount=1 This might help if you have a list of sessions that all use the same authentication information and it matches the credentials from another saved session. You can use that pre-existing session as a template for your new sessions so you don't have to type the same username and password over and over. JJH |
