Hello,
I use Securecrt 8.5.3, and Python 2.7.15. Some modules are imported just fine on the IDLE, but not working on the securecrt giving the below error (ex: telnetlib): quote/ importError Error: DLL load failed: The specified module could not be found. /unquote sys.path on Securecrt: C:\Securecrt Folder\SecureCRT8.5\Clients C:\Securecrt Folder\SecureCRT8.5\Clients\vpython27.zip C:\Python27\Lib C:\Python27\DLLs C:\Python27\Lib\lib-tk C:\Securecrt Folder\SecureCRT8.5\Clients C:\Securecrt Folder\SecureCRT8.5\Clients\PythonLibraries C:\Securecrt Folder\SecureCRT8.5\Clients\SitePackages sys.path on IDLE: C:\Windows\SYSTEM32\python27.zip C:\Python27\DLLs C:\Python27\lib C:\Python27\lib\plat-win C:\Python27\lib\lib-tk C:\Python27 C:\Python27\lib\site-packages - I tried to fix that, with no use. Thanks in advance for any help. |

Hi TeamH,
That's not a supported module at this time. I have added this thread to a feature request in our product enhancement database to add support for Python module that includes TelnetLib. Should a future release of SecureCRT include this feature, notification will be posted here. If you prefer direct email notification, send an email to support@vandyke.com and include Feature Request - Forum Thread #14233 in the subject line or use this form from the support page of our website.

Hi TeamH,
External Python modules can now be used with the Python 3 support that has been added to SecureCRT 9.0. Version 9.0 beta 3 release is available on the website here. If still using SecureCRT/Windows, this post provides some info on using Python 3.
