How to specify config.personal path in CLI

Hi,

I'm trying to set up a portable SecureCRT, but with separated config and config.personal

Specifying config with /F works fine, but I am not able to specify the path to config.personal and I can't find the config.personal path in any ini file or whatsoever.

Could you maybe point me in the right direction?

Thanks in advance.

Hi Dobby120,

Sorry, there is not presently any way to specify a path to store personal data from the command-line.

I have added this thread to a feature request in our product enhancement database to provide command-line interface for personal configuration folder option. Should a future release of SecureCRT include this feature, notification will be posted here.

If you prefer direct email notification, send an email to support@vandyke.com and include Feature Request - Forum Thread #14344 in the subject line or use this form from the support page of our website.

As a note, the config info is found in the registry.

WARNING: If you use the registry editor incorrectly, you may cause serious problems that may require you to reinstall your operating system. Before making changes to the registry, you should back up any valued data on your computer.

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Vandyke\SecureCRT\Config Path
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Vandyke\SecureCRT\Personal Data Path
