SecureFX Synchronization not working on Mac?
When I try to synchronise a remote and local directory with the file synchronisation options in SecureFX I get the following error, no matter which folders I select, both local as remote. I'm 100% sure I have write permissions in the selected directories since In RemoteFX filetransfer mode I can create files.
Here's the error: Create directory failed: Operation not permitted. |

Hi BurnettX360,
Please provide the specifics of the Synchronize configuration that results in the error. If there is sensitive data you don't wish to post in the forums, please send the info to support@vandyke.com and reference "Attn Brenda - Forum Thread #13419" in the subject line. You might also check out the YouTube video on Sync to see if the answer's there.

Hi,
I have exactly the same issue on Mac OS Mojave (10.14.3). I think this is a bug with the last version (I have secureCRT/FX bundle 8.5.3 - build 1867) because it worked with the previous one. I tried to change the Cache directory (Preferences/File Transfer/Options) that was set to a windows folder by default (C:/ ....) to local Mac dir (/Users/me/Library/Cache/com.vandyke.SecureFX) but didn't work better. I've tried all kind of synchronize (Mirror Source, Mirror Destination) on different folders I have permissions to read/write, but always failed with "Create directory failed - Operation not permitted". Please note that this error happens when : - creating a new synchronize sessions, then click on Ok - editing an existing synchronize session, then click on Ok If we use a previous synchronize session, the error do know raise but the synchronize operation doesn't work. |

Hi rwave,
Are you using SCP protocol? BurnettX360 was and yes, that is a bug and our developers are investigating. When I have further news, I will post here. If you are not using SCP protocol, we will need further details.

Hi rwave,
When a pre-release build is available (following a bug fix), it is made available via your VanDyke Software download account. The developers are still investigating the issue at this point, but if you want to be proactive, you can send an email to support@vandyke.com. If not writing us from the email address associated with your download account, then include it in the body of the email. Reference "Attn Brenda - Forum Thread #13419" in the subject line of the email. Then, when a pre-release build is available, we would send you the appropriate details to download it.
