Truncated Button Bar Dropdown

By chance, is it possible to make the button bar dropdown larger/longer? I have 30+ button bars, many of them start with "DCVMU". It'd be nifty if I could see more or all of the name.

I've attached a pic of what I'm talking about.

Hi Casey,

Just to clarify, the black boxes were drawn in by you for redaction purposes in the attachment (ExpandedButtonBar.jpg) that shows the "dropdown menu expanded", correct? (Or it is some kind of corruption in the graphic?)

I just want to be sure what your request is, that there is not some corruption (in SecureCRT) that prevents the full name from being displayed when the dropdown menu is expanded.

In other words, you want the ability to display the full name of the button bar because all your button bar names start with the same 6-8 characters.

If so (and I believe this is what you are requesting), I have added this thread to a feature request in our product enhancement database to make long button bar names completely visible in the button bar dropdown. Should a future release of SecureCRT include this feature, notification will be posted here.

If you prefer direct e-mail notification, contact support@vandyke.com and include "Feature Request - Forum Thread #10840" in the subject line.

Correct. The block boxes were done by me. There's no need for the world to know our server names.

My request was solely that the width of the drop down box on the button bar be extended so that I can see the entire name.

Under Session Options / Terminal / Appearance / Window, the drop down is truncated there as well (although to a lesser degree). Fortunately, that is usually set once and then forgotten about, so it's not as much of a pain.

This has been addressed in a pre-beta version of SecureCRT. If you'd like to try it, please send email to me at Maureen.Jett@vandyke.com.
