TFTP Server Can Not Bind to UDP Port 69

We have been using the SecureCRT/SecureFX bundles for a long time now. Recently we decided to move away from the Windows platform to the MAC OS X platform. We have a lot of scripts that open SSH2 connection to our switches throughout the enterprise and grab backup copies of the running and startup configurations.

We have noticed that since we installed the SecureCRT for MAC the TFTP server no longer works. We are constantly receiving the message the the TFTP server can not bind to UDP port 69. Has anyone found a way to resolve this problem?

I been using the Windows version for a long time and recently started using a Mac and seems to have the same problem. I'm using the lastest official version of Securecrt (7.2.1 build 443) and OSX Mavericks.

Seems like the problem i'm having is explained in more details in this thread:
https://forums.vandyke.com/showthread.php?t=10456

Is there any solution to this problem except running SecureCRT as root? Changing the tftp server port doesn't work since the equipment i'm using cannot use any other port than udp/69 to access the server.

Hi gan,

We do have something that you can try. Please send an email as requested in my previous post if you would like to pursue the option.
