Error when connecting wih a usb modem

We are replacing an old pc an have install secure CRT 7.1.3 on the new pc. I then copied the the session definitions from the old to the new pc and connected and moved over the USb modem.

This error appears when we connect to a session using the modem:

Failed to place call:
Could not retrieve the error text for error code 0x0000e00e. (0x8000000E)

Error Context:
Retrieving the address translation extent

we have replaced the modem with a brand new USB modem and the error persists.

Thank for any help on this issue.

Hello Shawn,

Is the modem configuration on the new PC (via Phone and Modem control panel) attached to the same COM port?

Once you swapped the original USB modem on new PC for a new modem, did you edit the TAPI sessions to use the new modem configuration?

It is likely that the session INI files still have the "old modem definitions". (In a later version of SecureCRT, the developers have added a bit more of a hint as to the cause of the issue.)

Please check the configuration of the TAPI session(s) in the Connection / TAPI category of SecureCRT's Session Options and verify the configuration of the modem is correct in the Windows Phone and Modem control panel.
