Hi mieh0703,

What terminal emulation is configured in the Terminal / Emulation category of SecureCRT's Session Options?

If anything other than Xterm, what are the results if you configure Xterm and disconnect/reconnect?

If you need to make this change to many (or all) sessions, see these tips on our website:

Hi mieh0703,

Further information has come to light about this issue:

Quote:
There is a .bash_profile in your home directory. As a workaround, you will need to edit this file and add the following lines:
export LC_ALL=en_US.UTF-8
export LANG=en_US.UTF-8
You will need to connect again to a local shell session in order for the changes to take place.

Improvements to the setup of the local shell environment have been made in a pre-beta version of SecureCRT for MacOS. Please email me at Maureen.Jett if you would be interested in trying it.

Many thanks for this; was suffering from similar issues with regards to Google Cloud Computer's CLI doing exactly the same thing. The .bash_profile variables do the trick.

Will await the next release of SecureCRT with anticipation!

Thanks,

Martyn
