address family fallback

For SSH, I would like to have a session option for IPv4/IPv6 preference (prefer v4, prefer v6, v4 only, v6 only). For preference that allows fallback, implement happy eyeball.

The issues I ran into was v6 routing was broken (routing loop causing TTL expired),

on 8.5.3 Ubuntu 18.04 LTS, the failure is very confusing and it doesn't try on the other address family at all

Hi realdreams,

I have added this thread to a feature request in our product enhancement database to try IPv4 if IPv6 connection fails/times out (fallback). Should a future release of SecureCRT include this feature, notification will be posted here.

If you prefer direct email notification, send an email to support@vandyke.com and include Feature Request - Forum Thread #13990 in the subject line or use this form from the support page of our website.
