Mac session logging of every new session

Hi,

I am new to SecureCRT for mac and would like to set this up to log all my sessions for each host I connect to. The file for each host can be appended daily but I am trying to get a new log for each host connected to, not just one large file for the day. I know it is done in the log file session for defaults but unsure of the string.

Thanks for any help.

Hi breilly,

The string depends on what you would like the log filename to be.

You are right in thinking that, by applying a filename via Default Session and using substitutions, you can capture a log for every session.

For those that may read this thread and need it, here is where you can read about Default Session.

For the purpose of my example, the attached screenshot shows a configuration for just one session where the log filename would be the session name (%S) and then -MMDDYYYY.log.

Using the substitutions available, are you able to configure logging as desired using Default Session?
