How to: Export/Import Session Folders

I am trying to export a session folder where I have setup all the various connections, so that I can then send it to another user of SecureCRT for his use so he doesn't have to recreate the 50+ connections. How can I do this?

Hi Dkp0113,

It is possible to share your sessions with another user.

SecureCRT stores its sessions in ini files.

The ini files for the sessions are located in a 'Sessions' folder inside the main configuration folder.

The location of the configuration folder is specified in the 'Configuration folder' data field in the 'General' category of the 'Global Options'.

By copying the needed ini files to the other user's 'Sessions' folder when SecureCRT is close, they will see these new sessions when they re-open SecureCRT.

Was this the information needed?

Just to further the thread.

The files are stored here by default:

C:\Documents and Settings\<username>\Application Data\VanDyke\Config\Sessions

In the past have have just copied this directory (and everything under it) to a USB stick and then copied them back on to the new PC (with the same directory structure).
