Hi Julio,
Thanks for the post. I have created a feature request in our SecureCRT enhancement database to add the ability to open a local shell connection in SecureCRT for Windows. Should we add this in the future, we will post to this forum thread. If you would like to be notified directly, please complete and submit the form at the following location: Submit Feature RequestIn the meantime, you may want to consider installing a Telnet or SSH server to which you could connect and gain access to the local shell. Hi pablomguevara,
It is not out of the realm of possibility, but this feature has not yet become a top priority for implementation. Since my last post, there has been no change in the status of this feature request, but we will post to this thread should something become available for testing. |

Thanks jim.arrows. We will post to this thread should we add the ability to connect to a local shell on Windows in a future SecureCRT release.

+1 to this feature request (hopefully either cmd or powershell appears within securecrt someday)

Local shell support has been added to SecureCRT 8.7*. CMD.exe, PowerShell, or any console application can be specified.
SecureCRT 8.7 is in beta. The installer can be downloaded here: https://www.vandyke.com/cgi-bin/rele...curecrt&beta=1 Maureen * Must be running Windows 10 build 1809 or later (or Server 2019) |

Hi, I just wanted to offer some feedback on this beta which I have recently installed as I was looking for a local shell, so thanks very much for implementing in this version. At the moment it seems as though the PATH environment variables are not fully recognised unless the SecureCRT is closed and re-opened again, so for newly entered paths this is something to bear in mind! Otherwise, thanks once again! |
