SCRT launch web browser via right click on session menu option in session manager

two easy things on paper:

1. expose a launch web option on the session context menu - when I right click on a session in session manager.
2. when I right click on this item (open web browser), take the session hostname and launch my default browser with this.
3. as a side note, make a new field in the session item, which allows me to tailor the URL, by adding things, such as "/login", so I could reach https://<session>/login, rather than just https://<session>

Is this doable?

thx,

Will

Hi Will,

If using SecureCRT on Windows, see this workaround script example.

I have added this thread to the following feature requests in our product enhancement database:
  • Add ability to launch web browser to manage device from within SecureCRT (context menu option)

  • Ability for URLs to be stored in Session Options and launched by web browser (with args) if field is not empty
Should a future release of SecureCRT include either feature, notification will be posted here.

If you prefer direct email notification, send an email to support@vandyke.com and include "Feature Request - Forum Thread #14092" in the subject line or use this form from the support page of our website.
