my sessions in the session manager all have this weird dark icon that is hardly visible in dark mode as attached is it just me (probably) and if so, how can I change it/revert it? the windows one is so much nicer and more visible |

Hi keithop,
I don't see that on my mac Catalina with v8.7 beta 3. Do you only see it associated with serial sessions? Or all sessions?

hi - it's on all sessions :/
I've tried reinstalling but of course using the same preferences file with all my sessions in so perhaps that's not enough What's the best way to reset those icons? thanks |

Hi keithop,
I don't know the answer to that as it has never been reported before (to my knowledge). ![]() If you quit SecureCRT, rename the Global.ini file in the config folder to Global-bak.ini and restart SecureCRT, what are the results? The location of your installation's Configuration folder is found in the General / Configuration Paths category of SecureCRT's Global Options. If that does not change anything, please export your config per this tip* and send a copy of it to support@vandyke.com and include Attn Brenda - Forum Thread #14037. *You may want to export a copy of the config for yourself, then clear any sensitive data using Default Session, then export a copy for us (and then re-import your original config).

Hi there
so I deleted global.ini - restarted ... asked about whether to use a passphrase etc (so it had been deleted) same icon deleted global.ini, users/me/vandyke dir, and all the configs, downloaded the newest beta, installed same icon I've exported by config and emailed it to you as asked. The only thing I can say is that the icon looks like its a model of the mac pro 2013 trashcan that I'm using.. it's almost like something is being clever (or a total coincidence) but either way, it looks rubbish on the dark theme and I'd definitely prefer a generic monitor style icon like I get on the windows version ![]() |
