Running SecureCRT in backgroung

Hi,

I wonder if I can run SecureCRT and pass a python script to it, then executing the script and log the session , then close SecureCRT.. all without launching the app!

I need to run some commands on a remote server and get the output to a .txt file to automate some processing on this text file, I want this on the background.

Thanks in advance.

Hi MohamedNehad,

You can hide (0) or minimize (2) SecureCRT after starting with crt.Window.State n but the GUI does display briefly until that line in the script is reached.

Dear bgagnon, I have to thank you a lot. It solved my main issue.

Actually, you made me search and find crt.Window.Show n which actually what I was looking for.

Hi MohamedNehad,

My apologies. I did point to the wrong one.

State() is a read-only property to ascertain the current state. Show() is the method to actually put the Window into a desired state. I'm glad even though it was a blunder, it helped.
