Alt+N brings up connect dialog rather than cloning session?
Hi,
I'm on the release build of SCRT 5.0 now (build 992). I've encountered a minor issue with the keyboard shortcuts. Alt+N seems to bring up the Connect dialog even though it is shown on the File menu as the shortcut key for Clone Session. I guess this can be corrected through the keymap editor but it should probably work by default. I'm not sure if this is a result of something I've customised but it does happen on two machines where I've tried it. Thanks, -Michael |

Mike,
Yes, ALT+N is the shortcut for bringing up the 'Connect' dialog. You mentioned that the accelerator for 'Clone Session' is displayed on the File menu as ALT+N. Can you post a screenshot of this? Using the latest build (992) here, I don't see it listed on the menu. Thanks!

I see the confusion.
What you actually need to do is press ALT+F to get to the file menu, then hit the letter 'N' to clone the session ... ALT+F N There is no ALT+* notation next to the actual shortcut on the file menu. The only way to have this be the way you want, it to map the key ... which you have already done.

File menu screenshot is attached. Should show Connect = Alt+C, "Clone Session "= Alt+N. As another example, Alt+P does perform "Connect in SFTP Tab"
Kind regards, -Michael |

Hmm. I see different ALT+* combinations. My screenshot has ALT pressed down, so you can see where I got my first post.
My screenshot is attached.

Interesting that your File menu has Alt+B next to "Connect in Tab". That isn't displayed for me although that keystroke does work.
On further investigation, I am using the custom menu file to add a Window menu as mentioned in the VanDyke Newsletter. If I stop using a custom menu then I do see Alt+B next to the "Connect in Tab" command, although as I mentioned shortcut works even when it's not displayed next to the menu command. The custom menu file does include Clone Session in the ACCELERATOR section. -Michael |

I think there is a comma missing in the default_window.mnu file and also in the same place in default.mnu. i.e. the line
Code:
MENUITEM "Connect in Ta&b...", "MENU_TAB_NEW", "New Tab" , "New Tab" Code:
MENUITEM "Connect in Ta&b...", "MENU_TAB_NEW", , "New Tab" , "New Tab" -Michael |
