Removed the command-line clients

- Removed the command-line clients VSH, VCP, VSFTP, VPKA, and VKEYGEN from the installer. These clients will be available as a separate package.

Can you explain this item on intrest in the release notes.
Where would we get this separate packge from?

*GAH* ... this is quite a surprise and I am not happy about this decision! In fact I just renewed my license and now I have to ask myself if this was a good decision.

Especially so because no reason is given. Quite frankly I see no reason why I should contact support to find out why you pulled core functionality from the package.

Where can I get the command-line clients, as in "right now"?

We decided to make SecureCRT and the client pack separately licensed products for several reasons. Most SecureCRT users did not need the command-line utilities and many people were interested in purchasing them separately. Having a separate product that contains the command-line utilities allows us to keep the price of a single license of SecureCRT at $99, which has been the price since 1999.

Up to now, there has not been a lot of focus on the command-line clients. Having them as a separate product will allow us to better monitor the needs of client pack customers so that resources can be allocated in this area. We intend to do more development on the command-line clients than we have done in the past.

A license is required to use the client pack, but it is not linked to the SecureCRT serial number. The serial number is only needed so that we can verify that the SecureCRT license is current. Let me know if that wasn't the information you were looking for.
