vttest score and secure-crt
I have been looking for a score of how SecureCRT performed during the vttest compatibility/non-compatibility testing, but have not been able to locate anything except for the following bug fixes found the in the history revision.
Code:
SecureCRT 5.2 (Beta 1) -- August 22, 2006 * Fixed the following tests in vttest that SecureCRT had been failing. - Line-drawing tests in "Test of double-sized characters" set. - Request terminal parameters test in "Test of terminal reports" set. - Scrolling region and column mode escape sequence test in "Test of known bugs" set. http://dickey.his.com/vttest/vttest.html /mekanik/ |

Hi mekanik,
Thanks for the URLs. When I run vttest in SecureCRT 5.2 it performs very well with the vt100 oriented tests. Since vttest doesn't provide a score I'm not sure I know what you've been looking for. Have you used SecureCRT to connect to a server and run vttest? Do you have any specific questions or concerns we can help with?

Hi miked,
No, I have not performed the test cases that VTTEST provides within its testing framework. I was under the assumption that this has already been performed internally at VanDyke, especially due to the information within the history changlog (SCRT 5.2b1 20060822). There are several other emulator packages that provide their scores and I'm a SCRT bigot and was curious to know how SCRT scored against the VTTEST test cases. The VTTEST VT100/102 Terminal Emulation Test http://www.columbia.edu/kermit/vttest.html Following are some links to other emulators that have posted their VTTEST scores: Kermit95 (K-95) http://www.columbia.edu/kermit/k95compare.html IVT http://home.wxs.nl/~ruurdb/VTTEST.HTM AbsoluteTelnet and CSTelnet http://www.celestialsoftware.net/tel...testscore.html /mekanik/ |
