Connect Dialog - Maximize Button?

Hi,

Could you add a maximize button to the connect dialog?

Hi,

Thank you for your request.

I have added this request to our database and a post will be made here if it is added.

I did just want to get clarification on one thing.

Were you needing to have a maximize button added to SecureCRT's , SecureFX's or both product's 'Connect' dialog?

It'd be handy on both.

Hi Olaf van der Sp,

I have updated the request to include both SecureCRT and SecureFX.

If you would rather be contacted via email if this is included in a future release of either product, just send an email to me at support@vandyke.com with a subject of ATTN: Teresa Forum Thread 1681.

I'm interested in your motivation for requesting this.

In my opinion every window that contains a scrollbar should be resizable and every window that is resizable should be maximizable.

The reason is that it's much easier to maximize the window by clicking that button then to manually resize both topleft and bottomright.
It avoids scrolling and allows for faster selection of the session you'd like to use.

Thanks for the explanation. That helped me prioritize it. It turns out this was easy to do and it will be in the next beta. If you'd like to try it in the meantime, please send an e-mail to me at Maureen.Jett@vandyke.com.

Thanks.
Another probably easy suggestion is to increase the size of the authentication, cipher and MAC lists in Session Options - SSH2 and Advanced to avoid or reduce scrollbar usage.

Hi Olaf.

I have created an entry for you in our feature request
database for increasing the size for those lists to reduce
scrollbar usage. We'll let you know, should a version
become available with that change.

Thank you

This change has been made and will be in the next beta, which is planned for next week. If you'd like to try it before then, please send an e-mail to me at Maureen.Jett@vandyke.com.
